ZWCAD and ARCHLine.XP Plugin: A better connection between CAD and BIM
ZWCAD and ARCHLine.XP provide an efficient and simple CAD-BIM solution for those familiar with CAD but new to BIM. With this solution, they can take advantage of the excellent 2D drafting capabilities of ZWCAD while improving collaboration and efficiency when creating a BIM model in ARCHLine.XP.
Add a point cloud to the project
Point clouds are produced using laser scanners to capture building and environment dimensions.
ARCHLine.XP imports popular point block formats to support building surveys and long-term placement of certain objects.
The point cloud in the 3D model can be displayed in real size and at the same time creates a top view of the 2D layout.
Command Location: Building – Point Cloud – Import
ARCHLine.XP displays the Import Point Cloud dialog box. Navigate to the folder that contains files with the extension .ply or .e57.
Point clouds can be added to a project in the same way as other external references (xrefs).
When importing, scale factors can be modified so that the point cloud is automatically modified according to the changed scale factor.
